Adam Walker

Adam is one of 2 programme leaders for the Create Compete, Collaborate (CCC) initiative. Hosted by Creative Junction, CCC is the South East's primary objective for 2012 relating to children and young people and is delivered in partnership with a number of the region's key governmental, cultural, educational, business, charitable and 3rd sector organisations, with whom he works closely.

Prior to joining Creative Junction, Adam was employed as 2012 Development Officer for Arts Council England, South East, where he lead the development of the Arts Council's strategy for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games across the region. This role enabled him to explore the breadth of opportunity presented as a result of the Games coming to London and to appreciate its potential for effecting lasting social change. It is this - and in particular the chance to engage young people with limited access to opportunity around the theme of international understanding - that motivates his enthusiasm for the CCC programme.

He also has significant experience of delivering research and consultancy services for a range of public and private sector organisations.

Adam has a joint honours degree in history and politics from the University of Nottingham. He is passionate, probably in order, about music, football and food.
