Arbour Vale School & Dionne Barber

Through working with Dionne, the Arbour Vale students have explored what the world of work means to them; working as a team to express their ideas through painting and drawing, learning how to work on a large scale and being given the confidence and skills to visualise their ideas.  These students have a message about their future which they would love to display at the heart of the business world: ‘Count us in!' Out of these strong feelings comes passion to express their positive values and creative approaches. Their visual art can be powerful and is able to transform adults' thinking.

Dionne Barber works as a freelance artist; an important part of her practice is working with others, sharing her skills and facilitating others to express themselves through paint. Dionne has worked on varied projects, focusing on engendering the work of others. She works and exhibits all around the country, keeping her work and projects fresh. The most important thing for Dionne is for participants of her workshops to come away with a new and interesting experience.
