Change Exchange
Change Exchange
On 19th June 2009 Creative Junction held their first Change Exchange. The event, held at Taplow Court in Berkshire, was an opportunity for all 40 schools in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes to share their learning and experiences from their first year of involvement on the Creative Partnerships Change School programme.
Participants heard from Priory School, Slough, one of 30 national Creative Partnerships Schools of Creativity about their approach to assessment for creativity and took part in active workshops in storytelling and theatre. Seven of the schools also led sessions giving more detail on the successes and challenges of their programmes in the first year:

School Coordinator Greg Hodgson met virtually with artist Roxana Hadad in Chicago. They showed the games design course which is entirely web based including the virtual learning environment course and the recorded video conference sessions. Roxana and Greg were both able to ask and answer questions.
Embedding Creativity < Oxley Park Primary School, Milton Keynes
Film-maker Justin Allder and Year 6 teachers Deborah Frayne-Johnson and Nicole Arnold discussed and presented their cross curricular thematic project with a time traveller theme that has key links into science. The project has been concerned with taking a step back and building understanding of creativity and process.
Reflect < Ashmead Combined School, Buckinghamshire
Teachers Jemma Wale and Dawn Govier presented their Years 3 and 4 ‘Iron Man Project'. In previous years the teachers have started this topic by leaving ‘clues' and objects in school which has gradually built into the story of the Iron Man. As part of this Creative Partnerships project they have taken the opportunity to expand this experience by incorporating music and film.
Connect < Northbourne School, Oxfordshire
Headteacher Paul Shaughnessy, Creative Partner Jessica Rost and Creative Agent Subhadassi lead a practical workshop looking at the importance of ‘connecting' in partnership working. Pictures, stories, jigsaws.......
Imagine < The Bulmershe School, Wokingham

Teachers Claire Linley and Lara Williams were be joined by 4 young people from St Mary's to lead an animation activity and discuss their project. They have been using animation to bring the four number operations, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication, to life.
Reflect < Park House School and Sport's College, West Berkshire
