Create Compete Collaborate

Create Compete Collaborate (CCC) is the South East's principal objective for 2012 relating to children and young people*. It is a groundbreaking ambition, which aims to ensure that:

'Every young person in the South East has the opportunity to participate in a project with young people from another country between now and 2012.'

CCC uses the inspiration of the 2012 London Games to increase the opportunities for every young person in the region to engage with their peers, internationally, and leave a legacy of young people with broadened horizons, new skills, and enhanced global awareness and connectedness.

 

CCC will achieve this ambition through two main strands of work:

 

1) The Project Strand: 

will support project partners to imagine, design and deliver new projects, especially for those with least access to opportunity.

2) The Community Strand:

will discover, connect and champion existing international collaborations for young people. CCC aims to help develop, join-up and profile projects that meet some or all of the 6 CCC criteria via our online presence:-

 

• The CCC website contains a wealth of information, inspiration, profiling and networking opportunities for organisations and individuals working with young people and either striving for, or already delivering, projects with an international dimension. Through the website's activity map we have already registered collaborative international activity in the South East involving over 285,000 young people. For those of you who would like to become part of the community (and would like access to the CCC brand) please take a few minutes to register your activity here.
• The CCCeCommunity is our new social networking software is being rolled-out to schools, youth groups and organisations across the region to enable young people to collaborate on-line with their peers around the world. Groups and their international partners can collaborate to create personalised web space together, sharing video clips, text, pictures, mp3's and they can also video conference using the site's VC suite.
