Creative Junction is the area delivery organisation for Creative Partnerships in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes.
Creative Partnerships is the government's flagship creative learning programme, designed to develop the skills of young people across England, raising their aspirations and achievements, and opening up more opportunities for their futures. This world-leading programme is transforming teaching and learning across the curriculum. For further information take a look at the Creative Partnerships website.
We support innovative, long-term partnerships between young people, learning settings and creative professionals and organisations. Our aims are to develop:
the creativity and enterprise of young people, raising their aspirations and achievements
the skills of teachers and their ability to work with creative practitioners
schools' approaches to culture, creativity and partnership working; and
the skills, capacity and sustainability of the creative industries and other partners who wish to work with schools.
Through the development of three programme strands, creative professionals, teachers and young people work as equal partners to place creativity at the heart of learning.
The Enquiry Schools programme enables schools to engage in a three-term creative learning programme targeted at a specific group of students and teachers.
The Change Schools programme enables schools in areas with significant challenges to engage in an intensive three-year programme that supports the creative development of the whole school.
The Schools of Creativity programme will enable a small number of leading Creative Partnerships schools to engage in cutting-edge practice over an initial one year period. They will develop innovative programmes with other schools and play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of Creative Partnerships.
Creative Junction are currently working with 50+ Enquiry Schools, 40 Change Schools and one School of Creativity from across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes. For further information download the Creative Partnership Handbook
