Gloria Garcia

Gloria joined the Core Team at Creative Junction in July 2009 and has since added her creative weight to a number of key programmes, such as the National Singing initiative "Sing Up" and the project which will see the eventual development of Creative Junction into an Arts Award Training Centre.

 

 

Gloria is a skilled creative practitioner with extensive experience developing and managing community projects for a range of organisations in both the public and private sector. She has successfully developed and managed a Youth Theatre and Arts Awards programme, a Spoken Word festival and various Black History Month community events. Through her work she has built strong partnerships with local schools and achieved notable success in getting the West Wing Arts Centre on board as a key partner in the Creative & Media Diploma.

 

Aside from working in community arts, Gloria's other passion is music where she has achieved recognition as both a professional singer and vocal coach. She is a recorded session singer and frequently hired lead vocalist, fronting a range of bands across the musical spectrum, whilst continuing to write and record original material. She has released an album "Gloria Garcia" which is available on i-tunes and amazon.. As a vocal coach, Gloria has taught singing and led programmes for Thames Valley University, East Berkshire College, Creative Partnerships, various schools and even West End performers.


Gloria is a Business & Marketing Graduate (Exeter University) and holds the Teaching Singing Diploma from the London College of Music. She plays both piano and guitar.
