Professor Guy Claxton to speak at Creative Junction's Leading Change Conference.

On 8 October Guy Claxton, one of the UK's foremost thinkers on creativity, learning and the brain, will be addressing the Headteachers, School co-ordinators and Creative Agents for the 38 Creative Partnerships Change Schools in the Thames Valley. The Leading Change Conference is an opportunity for schools entering their second year of the programme to reflect on how they can enable young people and all learners to explore skills and behaviours such as perseverance, curiosity, self-knowledge and collaboration.

Professor Claxton has inspired teachers, parents and students around the world. The author of over twenty books, he is probably best known for Building Learning Power (BLP) which systematically helps students develop the general habits of mind that underpin confident, curious, creative learning.

The conference will take place at Reading Town Hall and will include presentations from Wheatley Park Schools and Great Milton School who have drawn on Professor Claxton's work to inform their teaching and learning.
