Experience 

  • Learning expertise: a great deal of experience of working with young people – understanding how they learn & how they feel; members of the team have many years of teaching experience between them, in a range of subjects; they know how schools work through classroom teaching, managing departments and faculties, and leadership roles such as senior teacher and Advanced Skills Teacher. Some have also supported whole school change through their work with the Education Action Zone and Creative Partnerships. Specialisms in education include art, drama and theatre, English and environmental education. Engagement and input into Initial Teacher Training and professional bodies forms part of the team’s portfolio.
  • Creative sector Art form and community arts practice includes visual art, environmental art, theatre, dance, music and photography.
  • Organisation Members of the team have proven experience of organising and campaigning, including event management and planning; running meetings, seminars, forums; leading voluntary sector organisations; writing and distributing publications.
  • Finance Budget management; financial transactions; dealing with business clients
  • Leadership Some have experience of leading a team and all have supported and managed others within a team; we value how a wealth of individual experience impacts on team; experience of being part of teams and management teams in other organisations
  • Writing publications, reports, creative writing, writing for press, academic writing
  • Research Formal experience through higher education and less formally through working with enquiry-based the CP programme.
