Creative Junction delivered an arts-led learning project for Barratt Homes, one of the UK’s largest house builders. The project inspired young people’s creative responses to a live business brief, creating artwork for display in housing developments communal areas.
Barratt Homes Artists gave young people at Beechwood School and The Westgate School the opportunity to work in partnership with professional visual artists to explore the theme ‘Proud to be Slough’, and develop new artistic and entrepreneurial skills.
Delivered to a real world commission, with a real world tight deadline, the students created several diverse pieces of artwork. Two pieces were selected by the business client and residents to be permanently displayed at Eclipse, Barratt Homes’ new development of contemporary apartments in the centre of Slough.
