A group of Year 10 students worked together to create artwork that would portray ‘a day of work'. Artist Dionne Barber offered inspiration and technical expertise to encourage the students to explore ideas, media and processes.
The source material was based on digital images and photographs taken from areas within the SEGRO Estate in Slough. These were combined with personal images of the students and their friends set within a working environment. The finished paintings demonstrate expressive use of colour, line and tone and the students involved found the experience challenging but very rewarding.
