Dedworth Middle School in Windsor is leading on developing and sustaining a network of Windsor schools to share good practice, find common themes for projects liaise with creative practitioners and create community links between schools, staff and young people.
Teachers from Windsor schools and the region will come together through a series of networking meetings to share ideas, plan and agree a series of creative projects that will focus on key skills in Literacy and Numeracy and that will be delivered in partnership with selected creative practitioners. The group will plan projects and events collaboratively and will work with a view to becoming a sustainable group who are able to self-fund. Each Network meeting will take place in a venue that inspires, and each member of the group will be able to leave each meeting with a new skill, resource or partner link. Teacher’s professional development will be a key factor in the network –with opportunities for teachers to learn both from each other and from key creative practitioners. Creative Practitioners will have a key role in supporting the network and inputting into the development of creative learning projects.
