Miranda Millward

Miranda has worked for Creative Junction for the past 5 years as a Creative Agent, Creative Partner and now as an Associate. Recently Miranda managed part of the region wide Get Digital programme for Creative Junction working with Modern Art Oxford and is currently working with West Oxfordshire Schools on the Network Schools programme focussing on developing high quality CPD opportunities for teachers.

Miranda runs her own consultancy in Arts Education offering services to schools, museums, galleries, universities, colleges and arts organisations offering a variety of services such as programme design, evaluation, interpretation, consultation, project management, education strategy, digital strategies, mentoring and consultation.

Miranda’s passion is contemporary art and making it accessible to all with a particular focus on interpretation strategies and working with young people in formal and informal education settings. Through working with Modern Art Oxford and The Laboratory (Oxford University) Miranda has been able to work with artists such as Sonia Boyce, Mark Wallinger, Tania Kovats, Richard Woods and Stella Vine amongst others.

In addition to Creative Junction clients include: Tate Liverpool, Tate Britian, Tate Modern, engage, Modern Art Oxford, The Laboratory – Oxford University, Oxford Brookes University, The Institute of Education, The University Museums of Oxford, Slough Museum, Langley Academy, Abingdon and Witney College and Dorchester Abbey.

Miranda has contributed to a number of publications for engage, NSEAD and Tate and has recently written the online interpretation for Modern Art Oxford’s 50:50 website celebrating 50 years of exhibition making at the gallery.

Miranda lives in Oxford currently divides her time between work and looking after young son.

Miranda has a BFA (Hons) in Fine Art (Oxford University), a PGCE (Oxford University) and an MA in Museums and Galleries (Institute of Education, London University).
